121Digital: Free digital lessons for local adults

121digital teaches Learners (adults in the local community) – FREE of charge – starting from their current level of knowledge to their desired level. The 121digital course (content prepared by professionals) is tailored to learners needs – you choose the topics. Courses comprise 8 hours of tuition over 4 or 6 lessons, one lesson per week. Certificates of course completion are awarded to Learners.

eCollege delivers online and distance training including courses on basic computer literacy, software development and digital marketing. eCollege online courses are available free of charge to unemployed clients and transitional workers. Courses are also available for a fee, to employed persons who wish to update their skills, and to employers for upskilling their staff.

Furthur Education & Training Course Hub: fetchcourses.ie

Further Education and Training or FET, offers a wide variety of life-long education options to anyone over 18. FET includes apprenticeships, traineeships, Post Leaving Cert (PLC) courses, community and adult education as well as basic literacy and numeracy services. FET courses and programmes are provided through the Education and Training Board network throughout the country as well as through other local providers including online through SOLAS’ eCollege. FET courses are provided at levels one to six on the National Qualifications Framework.

This is NALA’s interactive web site to help people improve their reading, writing and numbers skills online. It includes courses on Computer Literacy, Computer Skills, Digital Media. Digital Inclusion and Accessibility: Top 100 Influencers & Brands

In order to see which brands and individuals were leading the discussion around digital inclusion and accessibility, a social media analysis company, Onalytica, analysed over 53K tweets about accessibility and digital inclusion, from the 5th July to 2nd October 2016. They then identified the top 100 most influential brands and individuals leading the discussion on Twitter.
