In this episode...
David Puttnam’s remote home town of Skibbereen is a beautiful, easy-going place that tourists visit to recharge and slow down. A place that the locals love, but are also born and raised to leave, in order to find sustainable careers, in the business hubs and cities far away. But big change is happening for Skibbereen, and many other rural towns. As part of the National Broadband Plan, they are being connected with high speed broadband, and now must shake things up, to make their town an attraction to companies to locate and create jobs.
